Last weekend we packed our things up and joined Jay's sister, Joy, and her family on a camping trip up by Kelly's Canyon. We went up Friday afternoon and left Saturday morning after breakfast so we could drive up to Island Park with Jay to finish up a tile job. We decided that camping is worth the work to get ready even if it is just for the night.
The kids all had fun and so did Jay and I. The kids got to play with their cousins and even went on a four wheeler ride. They love being outside and I love it as long as we aren't close to any roads or water.
It got a little could in the night, but thanks to Joy, we had enough blankets. For some reason we didn't think to pack very many blankets to sleep with. We had some, but definetly not enough for all of us. The kids stayed plenty warm though.

Jay and I cooked dutch oven chicken enchiladas for dinner for the adults and the the kids ate hot dogs. The enchiladas took a while to cook, but once they were done we thought they were worth the wait. The next morning as we packed up, Joy and Russ cooked all of us pancakes, eggs and sausage which we all enjoyed.

Spring or Summer?
We were all excited for summer to come and now we are wondering if it will ever get here. We are teased by a few warm days followed by rain or snow. We bought a boat and are anxious to take it out and enjoy the water. So far we have just taken it out...but haven't enjoyed the water. We did take the tube up and pulled Bridger and some cousins around, but we were very careful not to let them fall in the water. Jay jumped in once but could hardly breathe from the cold. Then my shoes fell off the back of the boat, or were tossed in by one of the kids, followed by the tube. The shoes went in one direction and the tube in the other. Jay went after the tube and I went after the shoes. It was soooo cold! Needless to say we didn't get back in the water.
The kids are all growing so fast and they are keeping us busy.Bridger is finishing up with soccer this week and T-ball has started. He will let you know that soccer is his favorite and he has gotten pretty good at it. He is on a really good team that has only lost once this year. His last few teams never won a game, so this year has been pretty fun for him. He is on a team with a lot of his friends from the ward and school, so he really enjoys that time playing with them.
Macie isn't quite sure what to think of summer yet. She was in a preschool with the School District and got to ride the bus to school and loved that. Now every morning when I get her dressed she asks if the bus is coming. She enjoyed the bus rides, but we aren't quite sure what she did at school because every time I would ask her all she would say was, "I rode the bus". She will be very excited for the fall when school starts up again.
Emory is growing very tall. She is starting to get a really fun little personality. She can say so many more words than the other kids did at her age so it can be pretty entertaining. She is finally starting to occasionally sleep through the night. The other kids both did that before they were two months old and Emory is 20 months, so you can imagine how excited we are. If she does wake up we just have to go in her room and tell her to lay down, and she lays down and is sound asleep within seconds...but it still isn't fun when she does this 5 times a night!
