Jursey...what a blessing!

Jursey is such a sweet little baby and we still feel so blessed to have her here with us.  Prolapsed cords can be so dangerous, and I never knew how dangerous it could be until I  finally asked one of the nurses what would have happened had we not found out about the cord.   She said that if I was home and my water broke, then the baby would have died.  If I was at the hospital when my water broke, then they would have had to jump up on my bed and basically place their hand in side my uterus {that hurts just to think about} and attempt to lift the baby off of the cord and rush me back to have an emergency c-section and hopefully the baby would have lived.  When the cord comes out first after the water breaks the baby drops down on top of the cord resulting in the blood supply and oxygen being cut off to the baby.
We feel so blessed and so thankful that Heavenly Father was watching over her and made sure that she had a safe arrival.  She is doing great and is such a sweet little baby.

On Sunday we turned our bedroom into the photo studio and took a bunch of newborn pictures of Jursey.

We realized the other night, that she was born on the anniversary of the day Jay proposed to me exactly 10 years ago, so of course we had to take one of these pictures.

And since she is so adorable we had to take a bunch of these pictures too

And then just to show how big our family is getting {and just how messy our floors can get} we had to take one of these pictures

I love being a mom and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.  I love being married to such a wonderful person who honors his priesthood and can bless our family when we need it.  My heart is so full and I am so grateful for everything...including all the friends and family who helped watch our kids last week and brought us yummy dinners, it was a great help and very appreciated.
